My Most Fantabulous Red Frog Team - Schoolies 2006

They say you always leave the best things to last which is why I've left my team til last to say good things about.

Words cannot possibly describe how great my team at Schoolies was this year. We all just seemed to gel together and got along really well, i was so excited!!!! haha...Best team i've ever been on!!!

So, my team...

There was Lucy - I've never met this chick in my life but she's pretty cool! In fact, i'm not sure all that many people had met her before. She got all the finer details that i either missed or skipped over! She's extremely warm and friendly and yea she rocked in terms of getting out there and just doing her thing!!! Lucy was just good value and totally great to have on the team, our team just wouldn't have been the same without her or any other member for that matter. I really missed her on the last night, Friday and i think so did alot of our other schoolies!!!

Then there was T-rent. How could i ever forget this guy?! I'd already met trent before when we stayed at Brendan and Sarah's house on my first schoolies. We never really chatted but he was good friends with Nathan. So in a way i'd already met but hadn't. Anyway, i remember having to do alot of odd jobs with just him and me. I ALWAYS get nervous about doing things alone with people i don't know because around strangers you don't hear a peep out of me, not much anyway. So i kept getting a bit scared and nervous, something i probably kept hidden rather well. Anyway, i had no reason to be scared or nervous around trent coz he could talk anyone's head off!!! That was good for me, coz i didn't need to contribute much to the conversation just listen intently. It also allowed me just to be myself around him and thus how i got to know Trent well! So well in fact that i got to help him out with his.....hmmm...um, how do i say....girl problems? teehee....oh all round he was also good value - great for a laugh and OH SO good to stir!!! Fun times, i hope our friendship becomes like a fine wine! Gets better with time!

Last but not least in any way - Nathaniel (aka Nan) - our fearless 'pirate' leader. Ok, so Nan is obsessed with Pirates...i for one will not hold that against him, especially since my love has once again been rekindled for 'Hook' (more on that later) which is bizarre seeing as though Adrian reminded us of Rufio off Hook....oh bizarre...but yes, more later!!! Nan was more interested in Pirates of the Caribbean rather than Peter Pan though which is fine with me, coz i will be more than happy to admit my love for Peter Pan - oh Peter! *sighs*.....

Anyway...

Yep, Nan, i'd seen him before and heard of him and so i knew who he was, but to me he just seemed like way out of anyone's grasp....i thought he was so popular and so famous and talented that i'd never get to meet him or something and then i found out he was my Schoolies leader.....OH MY GOSH....and thus i met Nan, a humble quiet soul who couldn't tread on anyone's feet and unlike i'd previously thought, was not out of reach for ANYONE!!! Kinda reminded me a bit of Jesus, actually, ALOT of Jesus. Because he was kind, patient, VERY respectful, had an awesome sense of humour, he was forgiving, he always let you speak your mind without judging and when there were times that he needed to lay down laws he did it in such a way that what was needed to be said was said but in no way was it degrading or awful, he wasn't pig-headed or rude he wasn't even patronising (i know far too many people who use power to degrade people, whether that's on purpose or not!), he just always spoke truth but it wasn't forcefed and i think i respected him and learnt so much more for being that way than i would have otherwise. Some things he said were even really hard to swallow and yet because of his nature the pain was lessened, still there, but easier to understand in a way.

Anway, besides all that, he was talented beyond measure. He DREW a tattoo on trents arm that looked REAL.

Everyone kept saying that he should open his own tattoo parlour and i agree!!! This dude, was blessed by God something savage?! It seems to me that because of his humble, gracious nature, God just pours out everything upon him and he downright deserves it!!!! He holds absolutely nothing back for God and, just as well, get's rewarded for it!!! i really honestly was just blown away by it all.

AMAZING!!!

Anyway, this blog wasn't meant to be about nathaniel, it's just that he was a bloomin' good team leader!!!!! My TEAM on the other hand, we rocked the casbah!!!!!..............all dues to God for that!!!
